Sandboard down the giant dunes
We're at the base of 90 mile beach, so there's plenty of sand! Also well placed to cruise the East coast, take your car for a day trip and explore some of New Zealand's most remote and beautiful countryside. 
Take a bus to Cape Reinga at the very most northern point of New Zealand, driving on the beach and dunes on the way. Or take a local trip on a quad across our own giant dunes.
